The "OL" error code means "open lid". Most likely the problem is a bad lid switch.

- The part number for the lid switch is AP3100001

Gene,
I also have a 2nd washer, Whirlpool; it fills and washes, but the selector switch then stops; no drain, fill, rinse or spin. If I keep moving the selector switch to other cycles, it sometimes will activate and drain and spin. Is the selector switch bad? Thanks,
Joe

Gene,
I also have a Whirlpool washer. It fills and washes; then selector switch stops; no drain, fill, rinse or spin. If I play with selector, moving it to different cycles, it may start and finish cycle.
Thanks for your help,
Joe

Joe,

Sounds like a bad timer. What is the complete model number of the washer?

Hi Gene,

On my Kenmore washer, I changed the lid switch. No change. It still does not agitate or spin. It fills, runs without agitation and drains; no spin. Red light on spin button instead of green. Any last thoughts before I call service. The washer is not that old, perhaps 5 yrs.
Thanks, Joe
