The water fill does not stop when the machine starts the wash (or rinse) cycle. I manually turn off the water, so as not to overfill. Not sure if this is the pressure switch or water valve problem, how can we troubleshoot - also what part(s) are needed to repair.

If you can turn the water off by turning the timer to off or unplugging the machine then itcould be the water level switch or temperature control.

If the only way to shut it off is by shutting off the tap then it is probably the water valve itself sticking open.
