WHIRLPOOL ULTIMATE CARE II MODEL #LSB6300LWO. Spin cycle doesn't spin and makes a horrible noise. I have already removed the motor and coupler is good. If I spin the coupler on the transmission side I can feel what I'm guessing is a stripped gear. I can't drop the transmission down from below the clutch to investigate further. How does it come out?

Take out the agitator, then remove the three bolts that hold the transmission to the frame.
