Loud banging noise on spin cycle. Replaced broken shock. Still there. Have main belt off, little play with drum,back and forward motion, about 1/16" , drive shaft fits good in bearing on tub, Maybe bearing shot ?:confused:

Sounds like the problem is the rear bearing and, possible the spider gone bad too.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire washer Model FWT645RHS1
