Model Number: LSQ9010PW5 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
I took my lid off my Whirlpool washer along with the hinges and their bearings, but can't put the bearings back on with the hinges. The lid switch won't work without them. Is there a tool to insert these or a technique?

Take the screws out on the side then you can get the bearings back in.

Everything is already apart. I'm trying to put it all back together and I'm having a really hard time getting the plastic bearings to go through the hinges then back into the holes. The lid switch will not work without the bearings. I tried just leaving them off. If I remember, they go through the hole in the lid then through a hole in the washer. The hinge slides through the bearing as it is connecting the two holes. It looks like they have to be compressed to go into the holes and it's about impossible to squeeze and push them through with my fingers. Any suggestions?

Try twisting them in. Never had too much problems getting them back in.
