kENMORE WASHER UNBALANCED
Model Number: 110.29842990 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Was was making clicking noise. Took unit outer casing off and noticed three small plastic cups with pins in them. Looked like the dropped down from bracket. Put them back in and started up maching. clicking noise went away; however, When in spin cycle, not loaded down with clothes, goes into spin and unit starts to spin in an unbalanced mode. I checked the balance springs and balance ring all looks fine.

Those pins are the shipping pins. They're meant to be exactly where you found them. Your balance problem may be caused by a weak or broken spring. Do you notice that the tub and spinner assembly leans to a particular side?
