Model Number: 11028532700 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
RINSE/wash no works at all on any cycle modes. Model Number:11028532700, Brand:Kenmore, 3 years old. Washer fills right water levels (hot or cold), but timer always stay on their start point(timer while water is filling up don't move to rinse/wash point).
When water stop filling up because it arrived to selected water level... timer still is at the start point... rinse does not kick , and the motor starts making a very lightly sound (like when a electric motor just trying to start, but a weak capacitor don't help it to run), and at the same time begin to heating up wires going to timer .... 20/30 sec. later wall breaker kick off. IF I manually move timer from start to RINSE/Wash point the washer then connect & make SPIN mode; IF timer is manually move to SPIN whasher also does SPIN mone I put new Capacitor & nothing changed, and the door lid switch actuating right. Thx a lot ! ! ! Ads By Google Related Models |

I changed out timer & new one also stay in the start point.
You can select wash cycle & pull out the knob... water fill up right to requested level...timer don't moved....lid switch is working.....washer start doing a lightly sound as when bad start-capacitor don't help electric motor to run....if you open washer lid, lid-switch then turn off the noise... if you let noise go on, 20 sec. later wall breaker kick to off....and so on washer continue doing same symptoms. Whats the next step? who is the one or which ones are the ones send the signal to timer to walk? ( I'm no good using the multimeter !!!), please help !!! |

It is very unusual for the motor switch to go bad, but that may be the case with your washer.
Unfortunately you are just going to have to replace parts to see what is happening, because your problem is very unusual and there is no good diagnostic for it. Before doing anything I would check the wiring between the timer and the motor and make sure you do not have a weak connection, broken, frayed or shorted wire or any other electrical problem.
