My Roper washer wont work once it gets past the rinse cycle. It quits??? How do I tell if its the switch or something else

Does it go through the first spin?

I suggest checking your pump for an obstruction.

It aggitates the laundry, you can hear the timer working as the dial is moving on the machine. Then just before the rinse cycle it aggitates the laundry again then it quits. You don't hear the timer and it doesnt drain to start the rinse cycle

Check the lid switch.
