The washing machine is around 8 years old, approximately 4 years ago the transmission was replaced. A little over a week ago, walked into the room with a burning smell, then noticed that the washer sounded different. (Very quiet)
Started checking and found that the belt had broken on the washer, got a new belt for it and put it on. After replacing the belt, noticed that it would run through all the other cycles just fine, but when it got to the spin cycle, the motor would turn and pump out the water. but the tub would not spin. Payed attention and noticed the brake was not releasing, so I replaced the brakes completely. (New pads, new brake rotor and bolts. Still, it will not release the brakes and allow the tub to spin. What am I missing? I can manually make the brakes release while I have the power disconnected, but if I run the machine, it ill not release the brakes for the spin cycle. Any help would be appreciated.
