My Kennmore (Whirlpool) washer has (at this point) a minor leak.About a half cup of water per load. I took the cover off, and the leak appears to be coming from the underneath the tub (and plastic cover) where the agitator is probably connecter to the drive/transmission? It's hard to tell exactly where the water is coming from cause it's dripping from the edge of the outside of the plastic cover that surrounds the tub.
Assuming this is where the leak is, is there a seal of some sort between the agitator on the inside of the tub and the outside drive/transmission. I suspect there is, so my next question is how hard/easy is it to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Please check your model and number re-post, as the one you posted does not seem work.
Thanks

Gary Pirkola Gary, here is what I want you to do. Unplug the washer, and then pull it away from the wall, and lean it back, and rest the washer on the back wall. Then lay down on the floor, and the pump will be right up front in the middle. Do this right after a load, so the water will still be around. Then feel around the pump front, and back, and see if you feel water. If so, you part # to your pump is 3363394 Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts

Thanks I had trouble with the model # as well on this web site (appliancepartspros.com), but if you go to the sears parts web site, they seem to know about model # 11092590800. See URL below http://www.searspartsdirect.com.../0582/0153200?pathTaken=Thanks in advance for any help. - Gary Pirkola

I suspect that it might be the gasket at the bottom of the outer tub. If so, my questiion is how difficult is it to replace that gasket?
