Model Number: WWX433RFS0 Brand: White-Westinghouse Age: More than 10 years
This is a belt-drive machine.
When it goes into wash cycle, the tub at first begins to spin and hesitates momentarily- just as it should if functioning properly- but after 1 or 2 hesitations, it just starts spinning. I can hold the tub with my hand (light pressure) and it will function normally. From what I've been able to find, this seems to be a brake-related problem? But then another source said the transmission had probably failed. Now as best I can tell, the brake on this model is integral to the transmission- unless it is hidden somewhere that I haven't found yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
