Washer will not spin or agitate
Model Number: 417.052000 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
As the tile says washer will not agitate or spin. The machine makes a buzz or hum during agitate or spin but the motor does not move. Belt is fine, motor and basket turn smoothly by hand. First test with meeter shows correct voltage coming into board at harness. Second test of timer harness all readings are off. Motor ohms at 3.8, manual says it should be 2.6 +- 7%. The manual is not clear what is wrong when some of the meter tests fail.
