Kenmore washer fill up great hot or cold water levels, but it does not kick in rinse/washer, when the timer arrives to RINSE point... the motor starts making a noise like a weak capacitor and at the same time the wires going to the timer start heating up... and 20/30 sec. later wall breaker kick off.
IF the timer is avanced manually to drain/spin cycle, the washer works good again. Washer has the same symptoms on all modes(when hit rinse point).
Capacitor is new & the door lid switch is working ok, could be the timer the one is out?, is inthere a bad solenoid in the middle of somewhere, I means the one could tell motor do stard doing rinse/wash job?

If it hums when it goes into "drain/spin", it is likely you have a bad motor. To test the motor, you can remove it and leave it connected. Select a "spin" cycle and see if the motor runs without a load attached to it. If it does, the problem is somewhere in the gearcase.
