Exclamation Something hitting the drum when it turns
Model Number: GBVH6260FWW   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

Hi there, I just wanted to know if anybody knows how to get inside this front loader machine. When ever the tub turns it is hitting something hard (sounds like it could be a pen) and it is on the outside of the tub. I have tried to look thru the little holes to see if i can see it but no luck. So I thought I would try to get to the outside of the tub, but I cant figure out how. If anybody knows any tricks to figure this out please help me.
Thank you Janjan

You probably have one of the spin basket support struts rusted off the basket and hitting the tub, eventually it might poke a hole in the tub. Only way to confirm is to pull tub and remove spin basket, a rather labor intensive job.
One idea is to remove drain boot and shine a lite in there and see if you see anything. Please post results.
