Front loader is it worth it
Model Number: 41740052990 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi All
This is a great site. My Kenmore 41740052990 is leaking from the tub. I tightened this a year ago and the leaking stopped now it is leaking again. Is it worth fixing or should I just buy a new unit and replace this? (Wife is waiting for my answer) Thanks in advance Ads By Google Related Models

In MY opinion,YES, they are worth it, I have had a couple of them and been happy with them!!! They do however, have their own set of issues, In MY opinion you MUST use He soap and VERY LITTLE of it!! This alone will double the LIFE of a FL washer!!! They save you a lot of water( I'm on a well)

Drags1998 thanks for your timely reply.
I may have not stated my question properly. Should I have this 8 year old kenmore repaired or just buy a new washer it will be a front loader. We like the savings that they provide

At 8yrs. old, if it were mine, I would replace the washer with a new one just like the one you have. The only problem with repairing the one you have is, you never know what will happen next. (or in what time frame) A new one will run you about $500 on sale!!! Good Luck!!!
