Hello! Hopefully this is the correct forum for this message. Sorry if it is not.

Ok! My washer starts the cycle by filling the drum with water. But, the next part of the cycle is to start moving the drum and agitator. They do a jerky kind of start movement then just stop. The timer switch then starts making a noise. I moved the timer to the spin part of the cycle to empty the water out. But, that didn't work out at all either. The drum starts to spin. Within a minute of the spinning starting it stops again. Can you please, tell me what you might think is wrong with my washer? I'm really trying hard to just replace whatever part has gone bad.
