Thanks kayakcrzy, I laid the washer on it's back and i could see the coupler broken. i also notice oil on the floor and on motor near coupler. is this normal when coupler goes bad or do i have another problem?

Just wipe it off and go. Sometimes they put a little to much oil in. Tom www.appliuanceeducator.com
