It is about 3 years old. Frigidair front loading washer. It was working fine then all of a sudden it gave me a probem. It would not fill on any of the cycles other than the regular cycle but only if you set it to just before regular it starts with a small fill up, about 40 seconds with loud humming or grinding noise and then goes into spin and drain cycles. Then it seems like it starts washing only there is not enough water becasuse it seems to be washing with the rinse water. YET I hear it draining. It is leaving my softner in the tray. It is running very smooth and sounds fine except fo the initial small fill it does. I think its the water pump. It did this on the hot/cold cycle and the cold cycle but m not sure about the HOT cycle as I have not done one of those yet. Any help would be appreciated greatly! We just dropped replaced a fuel pump on our truck so fixing a wash machine really will be difficult. My hubby is very handy with tinkering around but he doesnt tinker with appliances! So if you just explain what parts your speaking of then, well get it! Thank you again!
