This washer apparently uses a direct drive pump but when the spin cycle comes around it will spin but won't drain. The timer may also be not continuing once this part of the cycle comes around. At this point the timer issue is intermittent as the washer was able to drain and complete it's cycle when a small load was selected.
Despite the pump being direct drive could a repair be as simple as replacing the timer, or should I be looking directly at the pump?
Thanks for any help.

You may want to start the diagnosis from removing the washer cabinet (the instructions are attached) and checking the drain hoses and the pump for any clogs. - The drain pump Part number: AP2907492

Thanks for your reply and information. However, is it possible that if the pump and or hoses aren't plugged that there could be an issue with the timer and or related solenoids?
