Mah3000aww Maytag Neptune/bearings,leak

Model Number: mah3000aww Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer has a leak at the lip seal and is very loud during spin cycle. Do I need a new outer tub assy kit to fix the problem? I believe the bearings are either bad or gone.
