Washing Machine Odor
Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
WHEN USING WASHING MACHINE, WHEN THE WATER SPINS OUT, IT LEAVES A FOUL ODOR IN THE BASEMENT. THE MACHINE IS UPSTAIRS IN THE KITCHEN. IT'S A AWFUL SMELL.. ALMOST LIKE SEWER.. ANY IDEAS WHAT IS WRONG?? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I just experienced the same thing. remove the drain hoses and replace them, cheaper that buying a new appliance. The hoses were clogged with black mold build up, not sure why.
