Default No spin cycle after towel overload
Model Number: KAWS677EQ   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

Searched the forum but couldn't find a directly relevant post. We overloaded with towels on a Regular wash cycle. My wife didn't hear the warning for awhile but it was still making a loud sound when she went to it. Tried arranging and removing towels. Just makes a hum. Tried going directly to spin cycle. Just a hum. Should I try a whole Regular cycle ( with no clothes)?I've replaced belts before but direct drive is new to me. Any other diagnostics I could try? Thanks

Default Update: "Gear" type sound after filling

Tried a small empty load. After filling, just get a "brrrrrr" type sound and tub does not move. How serious is it? Affordable fix or time to shop for new one? Thanks

If washer will not pump out, you have a jammed pump. Just pull front panel remove pump and clean out.
