Wash machine is 2 yrs old. Woke me up last night, beep...beep...beep... etc. Find what's beeping, and the machine is beeping, inside drum light is flashing in tune with the beeps, and lights on the front are sometimes flashing. Couldn't get an error code, unplugged, plug back in a few. Sometimes looks normal until you try to turn the dial or set it, sometimes continues beeping. Got an error code E62. I can't find this error code, not in the service manual for the machine or on the web. I found a reference to a dryer doing this, it said it was a button stuck, so I took the control panel out & checked all the buttons, all seems fine there. Help! Where should I start?

I think the problem is the electronic control, but the only way to confirm that is to suggest you change out the electronic control.

Thank you, I'll try that! Cheapest I found was $120, but I can return if it doesn't fix it. I appreciate your time to answer this!

So, I have the exact problem with my Fridgedaire Affinity Washer. Did this solve your problem?

I didn't have to buy the part yet. I live in Florida, I saw evidence inside when I took out the circuit board that palmetto bugs had been running all over inside the circuits, wiring, etc. I figured, what the heck, I have to replace the board if this doesn't work, so I used alcohol & soft cloth to carefully clean off the board front & back & all connectors. Put it back together & it's been working ever since. I'm holding my breath, but think one of the bug trails must have been shorting out a connection. It wasn't hard to get the circuit board out, may be worth a try!
