I have a Maytag Model # MAV8551AWQ and it does not spin after rinse. It stops at the spin cycle and will go no further. I changed the lid swich andd the results were the same. Any suggestions?

I am assuming it is spinning after the wash cycle, in which case there is not a mechanical problem, so try replacing the timer.
