Maytag washer will stop cycle within first min and flash F1 error. Have to hit pause and change cycle and it will run until min 21. Will hit pause again and wait and it will run. Any advice on what this issue is and how it can be repaired?

Bob,

The F1 code indicates that the main control board is not seeing a change in the water level.

You need to check:

The air dome hose(the clear plastic tube that goes down to the side of the tub) for clogs, kinks and tight fit at both ends.

You need to check the wire harness, and connections at the motor RPS sensor (motor) and control board.

If the airdome hose and attachment points are OK, my first guess would be the harness and wires to the RPS / Motor assembly,

From there it would be the main control board in the control panel,

You should be able to raise the top panel (using a putty knife to release the clips holding the top down, and find your Technical Data Sheet attached to the front panel interior, that way you can run the diagnostics and failure codes, etc.
