This washer is leaking rinse water from the lowest bolt securing the front and rear outer tub halves. A local repair tech advised over the phone that parts and labor would exceed replacement cost. The bolt in the area of the drip is not loose. Is an attempt at replacing the O-ring between the tub sections advisable?

For the price of the seal I would give it a shot, Part #AP3212518, only $16.17. They are a bit of a pain in the elbow, but a lot cheaper than a new front load washer.
