This is a top loader frigidaire washer model FWX233RES3. The tub will not agitate or spin. The motor works. I replaced the belt but it did not solve my problem. It looks like it is trying to "activate" because when I stop the machine the roller wheel between the big pulley and the motor moves, or tension is taken off the belt. I can turn the big pulley by hand.

The transmission pulley does not move when the motor turns.

Manually rotating the trans. pulley counter-clockwise makes the basket move counter clock-wise. The agiator does not move.

If I manually rotate the pulley clock-wise, just the agiator moves counter- clockwise.

I ran a small load after I posted Mon. It filled, agaitated, drained, rinsed, everything it should except spin.
