Frigidaire Washer Smoking, not Spinning
Model Number: FWS747RFS1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Washer was not spinning out final rinse and belt was smoking. Replaced belt but smoking continues and unit does not perform final spin. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Frigidaire smoking, not spinning
Have you checked to see if the big pulley on the rear of the shell or if the pulley on the motor is spinning. Sounds to me like a bearing or something else is locked up if the belt is turning but still no spinning going on. I know the rear bearing on Frigidaire front loaders are bad about wearing out and making loud thumping noises and locking up. May want to check this to see.
