washer bearing
Model Number: fws445rfs2 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
i have determined that the main bearing on the bottom of the transmission shaft has failed but i can't get it off. i checked various sites to see how and they don't even show a part number for it. the scematic showes it on the drawing but doesn't indicate that it isn't just part of the trans. please don't tell me that i have to buy a whole trans just to get this bearing!! the bearing has litterally destroyed itself and binds the trans to the point that the drive belt gets destroyed on the motor pully!help!! would it be possible to have a machine shop press it off and replace it ?
