Hi, I have a Kenmore Elite washer that sometimes does not spin and you have to manually move the drum just a bit and then it spins. But it still leaves the clothes wet, it also sounds like there is still water in the drum? It seems like it does not get up to full speed with heavy loads. So far the solution is to run it on multiple spin cycles.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

No takers so far on this problem, but just wondering could an item stuck in the drum cause it not to spin up to full speed, or could a blockage in the pump cause it?

How do you take out the drum?

I must have some sort of mechanical anomaly! Over 100 hits on this subject and not one "expert" or anyone for that matter seems to have any expertise on this problem:eek:

Ha, I have the same exact problem....I have a Kenmore Elite Series washer that is about 10 years old and when it is done washing and agitating perfectly normal it will wait a bit and then the timer will click and wham, it drains out and then pauses again and then clicks and the transmission / motor sounds like it is spinning out but when I pick up the lid the thing is not spinning at all and then when the timer turns the machine off...I still have clothes that have not spun out and are still wet.

Before I could just open the lid (switch is working as it should as when I close lid it clicks and I hear trans again...) and move the drum as you did and I will hear a little click and then shut the lid and it spins out...now it is not doing that anymore. I think it is the motor coupler but how would it do all the other stuff is this was bad??? Wonder...did you ever get an answer? If so, please list it here. Tks
