clothing just goes in circles, wrapping around the agitator. Changed the dogs and still does the same.The lower agitator just goes clockwise, is this normal?

Sounds like a problem with the transmission, which can be replaced but if you have gotten 10+ good years out of this machine I would say it is time to move on and visit Mr. New Washing Machine Store.

Thank You for your quick response,thought it would be simpler than that. A new transmission is pretty much half the cost of a new machine. NOT COUNTING MY LABOR AND TAX. Thanks again.
