washer will not spin out all the water in the last spin

What part do I need to Buy for my Kenmore washer 80 series Heavy Duty . My washer will not spin all of the water in the last spin. Is it the brake

it may be the clutch a worn clutch will keep the machine from getting up to full speed aqlmost like it is in low gear

Check for a KINKED drain hose first, if its OK, check the spin speed. if its slow, replace the CLUTCH.

If you have bad brake shoes, a new clutch will wear out soon, unless the motor burns out first!
Crunch into the search window, "replacing direct drive brake shoes", If it fails the test with the tranny coupler, you have bad brake shoes.

Richappy is correct, HOWEVER, I have been working on these washers since they were introduced in 1981. I have NEVER had to replace "Brake Shoes" I think you will find that replacing the clutch will take care of your problem. Have a great day!!!!:)

I also have been fixing these since then and recently have seen a lot of the "newer" ones with really BAD problems with dragging brake shoes. I have seen motors burn out or motor epoxy failures jamming the bearings.
The brake shoe rollers wear out because they now never oil them in production!!
