I have a GE top-load washer that started spinning loud and smelled like burnt rubber or some chemically smell in the basket after.
Now it only spins 10% of the time, after some basket jostling and re-turning the cycle dial.
Everything else works fine (drain, agitate etc.)
Also, trying to get the left-turn nut off to get the basket out but it will not budge a smidgen. I tried WD40 and it doesn't work. If there is sediment fusing the nut, any suggestions on how to disolve it?
