Exclamation Timer does not advance
Model Number: LW7563W2   Brand: Amana   Age: More than 10 years

The washer fills up and stays on the same cycle until it is moved to the next by hand. I am trying to replace the timer and I am having trouble separating the dial from the time. How do I go about separating the dial from the timer?

The knob just unscrews after pushing it in. If not, you have a stripped plastic part that couples the shaft to the big plastic cam. Will need to pull timer cover and jam plastic cam to remove.
I used to have a bucket of used timers to repair this.If you have a plastic timer, just pull out the plastic tab in the back of timer, then knob pulls out.
