Model Number: WBVH5100H0WW Brand: GE Age: Less than 1 year
I was trying to fix the leaking gasket for the second time, this time with a brand new gasket instead of patching the ripped one with tire inner tube.
Anyway, when everything is back in place or so I thought I turned on the washer and it displayed 5.9 in instead of 59 minutes. The door didn't do its lock routine and the timer started going 5.9, 5.8, 5.7 like it was 5 minutes and 7 seconds (although a "minute" only lasted 10 seconds). The washer did not start, the water did not fill, just the display changing the time and the cycle name (went from wash to rinse to spin in less than a minute!). Needless to say I am out of idea as to what happened. We rechecked the control panel and everything. There were no error codes showing. I also noticed this time that there were 8 wire connectors instead of the 9 stated in the service manual. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I noticed that the person wishing to fix the control board of this washing mashing stated that there were only 8 connectors on the control board that was in the washing machine, when there were 9 outlined in the diagram. My question is, did this part change since it was first made? I recently tried to use this same control board in another washing machine, but noticed that one of the connectors on the control board is missing. Does this mean that one of the wires does not need to be connected for it to work, that there should only be 8 connectors on the wiring harness, or that there is another location where this particular wire should connect? Here is the situation in other words, I have a newer machine, an older control board assembly, and one wire on the new machine (the soap dispenser) will not connect anywhere on the only control board. Does this mean the part is no longer usuable because it is missing this connector? Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model and serial numbers of both washers and the part number of the control board you have.
