Error code E38 washer
Model Number: WBVH6240 Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Many times the washer will stop at 44 min. on the colors cycle and unlock the door and not go any further. When checking the error codes it comes up with E38 only. That is a dispenser problem. Sometime the dispenser dial goes to bleach first when I think it should be wash. Seems like when it does that it doesn't complete the cycle right. If I tap on the dispenser motor and restart the machine most of the time it will do the cycle right if the dispenser dial goes to wash first. Is it maybe a common problem that the dispenser motor could be a problem? I know there is a micro switch in it and suspicion it is bad. Or could it be possible the timer board has a problem. I do not get any other codes except E38. Thank you
