My whirlpool washer wont always begin the spin cycle. We find it full of the wash water and not moving on to the drain and spin cycle. Occasionally if we start the cycle over or fidgit with it....it begins to work.

Could it be the shutoff switch on the lid assemble??

Could it be the electric timer on the top sections of the washer??

and are both of these parts easy to change??

or at 10 years old should I opt for a new one and go on down the road??
