:cool: I found that the humming was coming for the motor.I took the pump off and found that a small sock had been sucked into it not allowing the motor to ingage.
my washer filled half way up with water, then stopped working. i can hear a humming sound coming from the water valve (or pump) not sure what it is called.

A complete model number would help us diagnose the problem.
