My washer's grey water discharge is dispensing quicker than the drain can drain it. I flushed the line with a high pressure hose, freeing the line of any debris. The water drained without backup or delay for several minutes. I reconnected the washer and upon dispensing the grey water, the drain pipe fills quickly and grey water comes out of the draiin pipe. I cant seem to figure what to do next?? Please help my home is suffering. Thank you Guru"s of grime :)

I can think of a couple things.
Make sure there is space around the washer drain hose and the stand pipe. If the hose fits tightly into the stand pipe you could be developing an air trap which is impeding draining.
Make sure the vent pipe/stack that goes up through the roof is clear. Though I would have thought you would have seen drain problems on other devices if it was plugged.
Make sure that the drain tube is not pushed too far down into the stand pipe. |
