Everything works except spin. However, if you "kick-start" the electric motor with a quick spin by hand, the motor runs fine. I replaced the motor already, but the new motor has the same problem as the old.

The problem is probably in the transmission

I checked the transmision....everything is fine there.

During spin cycle, the motor does not start rotating. With the belt off, I put the washer in spin mode.... If I hand spin it clockwise, the motor runs clockwise. If I hand spin it counter clockwise, the motor runs clockwise. There must be some "kicker" to get the motor started in the right direction. I just don't know what this "kicker" is? Anybody?
