There is a front load washer for sale cheap but the seller says it will not spin when loaded with clothes. Will this be a major repair or minor? I can repair it myself once I trublesoot the problem. What do you think the problem could be? Any idea on what the parts could cost? Thanks

Could be relatively minor or a major repair.
The same applies to the cost.
Also without a model number you cannot search for a most common cause of this. Even that would be a gamble as "most common" does not mean that the unit has that problem. You may not even be able to get any tech info on the unit.
Just do a search on this site "front load no spin" and you will see many different fixes for this symptom.
