I need to replace the stainless steel shaft on our whirlpool duet washing machine. I have looked at the part list for the tub but cannot tell if the shaft is part of the stainless steel tub or can be purchased separately.

I just checked a couple of places and it looks like you have to buy the basket to get the shaft.
