The washer goes throught the agitation (wash) cycle, it drains then in the rinse cycle it only fills a few inches with water. The water continues to run for hours until shut off. I moved the dial to the spin cycle and it works fine. The problem happens in all of the different cycles offered.
I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me in fixing this problem. Thanks

Either your drain hose is too low or you have a continuous drain that is siphoning out the water.

The drain hose has to drain into a stand pipe that is at least as tall as the top of the washer. It also has to be able to suck air around the tube when the washer is draining, so that it doesn't start siphoning out the water. a siphon break can also be installed in the drain hose to break the siphoning action. Part 285320 works nicely.

What is happening is during the first wash and drain everything is fine, but as the water starts to fill for the rinse, it is being siphoned out almost as fast as it comes in. So you need to "break" that siphoning action to get rid of the problem.
