Unhappy leaks a LOT on spin cycle
Brand: Maytag   Age: More than 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

Last night I was washing one small item on the lowest water amt. on my old maytag. When on the spin cycle, it started pouring water. I thought that perhaps since it was unbalanced and wobbly, just having one item would cause it to rock more and spill water. Tonight I put 4 towels through a cycle, and during the spin cycle it leaked again immediately. From this i've concluded that its not just an unbalance. I have moved recently and can't put my hands on a manual. Help!

Where I be able to find the model number? Since I can't find the manual (figures!), would it be somewhere on the machine?

Its an A613 Maytag. Probably at least 10-15 years old.

Not sure what he's thinking....
What you want to do is raise the top and remove the front panel.
Fill the tub with a small load amount of water, the turn it to the spin cycle, see if you can see where the water is coming from without the front panel on the machine.
let us know where you see the leak.

No Nat, he's right remove the FRONT panel, Look where the Transmission goes up into the tub, if it looks rusty, put a small load of water into it and you should find your LEAK!!!
