Model Number: LT7000XVW0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
I have a Whirlpool Thin Twin stackable washer and dryer that is from at least 1992 (maybe earlier), Model LT7000XVW0. The wash cycle normally takes 40 mi, but has been taking much longer 90+ mins (slow, but does go through all of the cycles--lately, we have resorted to manually advancing the dial every 5 or so min to move through the cycles).
From the research I've done, I'm guessing the timer or timer motor or both need replacing. Is there any way to differentiate which one(s) need(s) to be replaced (I'm trying only buy what is needed)? (By brother-in-law will be replacing the part/parts.) Also, are we further damaging the washer by manually advancing it? I would greatly appreciate your expertise. Ads By Google Related Models |

It may be the timer motor but it is not shown as a separate part, so check with the APP parts folks. Here is the timer.
