Default Direct Drive Washer
Model Number: KAWS850LT   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 1 - 5 years

The washer is not spinning but it is agitating. I checked the coupler and it spins fine. I turned the washer on with the side cover and the center plastic cover that goes over the shaft removed and you can see the clutch spin but the shaft is not moving. Any idea as to what it may be.

Here is the parts breakdown: Parts list

I would suspect the lid switch or the lid switch strike.

You can test the lid switch for continuity and I believe the lid hinge activates the switch so look and make sure the bumper didnt fall off.
