Model Number: 143B8673P003 Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Washer won't start. Just a loud electrical buzz when button is pulled out. No water comes out.
Further, lovely dark yellow goopy liquid underneath...not sure if it's coming from washer... not sure if it's related at all. Goop has been there for months, but washer was still working well at that time. |

First off we would need a model number for reference, so we know what washer you have abd get thte correct part. I would suggest starting with opening the washer up and looking to see what you can see! If its the transmission oil that leaked out and froze up the tranny you will most likely need a new one. So your mission is...... Get the model number, open the washer and inspect for the problem!

I assume your washer is a top loader. Can't find your model # in the data base.
The front cover has retaining clips on the top. Just use a putty knife and release them and pull the front panel off. Remove motor belt and turn tranny pulley both ways. If very hard to turn, you will need a new tranny. If ok turn the washer on and check the washer current flow. If way over 9 amps you have a bad motor. A low voltage to the washer, or a bad timer also will cause this problem. Will need to check voltages to motor per the schematic. Click on your model # above for parts.
