Model Number: WDSS4120AWW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Opened the front panel of the washer and took out the broken belt. Looking at the setup it seems easy to put the belt on the pully under the drum, however I was not sure how I can slip the belt on the pully that is between the motor and the pump. Do I have to dismantle the pump or the motor in order to gain free access to the smaller pully above the pump. The pump is made of plastic and I am not sure how strong it is; I am afraid I will break it if I try to pry it open somehow. Can anyone here help?

Here is a diagram, go to section #4...Model WDSS4120A0WW
The pump should have 2 clips holding it to the motor, remove those, and pull the pump off the motor shaft, you will need some force, but it will come off.
