washer will not spin found broken belt underneath machine
need replacement belt

Well, this is a mystery since your machine comes up as a direct drive model, which means, well, it means there is no belt.

You may have found the remains of the motor coupling. This video will show you how to check it out.

Test and check the lid switch while you are in there, but if the machine will drain but not spin the coupling is likely the problem.
