Hello, I have about a 4 year old GE washer and the upper half of the agitator is simply spinning free. Just order a all new agitator p/n 300? Or is there a repair kit for that? Also is the method to remove the agitator simply by the pull straight up method?

Just wondering.

No kit needed, just the agitator. The agitator just pulls up, but it can be hard and a little bit dangerous since it tends to let go all at once. Be careful.

I would replace the block coupling underneath it at the same time, it is very inexpensive and its good preventive maintenance.
